CJ Hulsey is a 16 year old, sophomore from El Paso, Texas, born on February 4, 1995. With the support of his family, he has been able to travel around the country and race his go kart whenever possible. He has been racing for 6 years now, and has been very successful in his short career. His first year, at just 9 years old, he won the points championship for his class at his home track, Speedway Park in El Paso, TX. He has had numerous top 5 and top 10 finishes throughout the years, but some of his greatest accomplishments have been winning some of the biggest races in the country. These include winning the Junior 3 heavy class in Batesville (Indoor Karting Nationals) in 2008, Junior 3 heavy class at the Tulsa Shootout in 2009, Junior 3 light at the IKF Nationals in Tyler, Texas in 2009, Mid-America national in the Junior 3 heavy class in 2009, Junior 3 heavy in the Mid-America Grand National in Winfield, KS, and Stock light at the Tulsa Shootout in 2010.
When CJ turned 12, he began racing Legend Cars, and won Rookie of the Year at his home track in his first year behind the wheel. He has competed Summer Shootout at Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, NC, and has picked up Young Lion wins in Anderson, SC, and recently had a "break out" weekend" at Las Vegas Speedway picking up 3 wins in 3 days!
Racing is CJ’s passion, and his dream is to one day race in Nascar. CJ would like to thank all of those who support him in his racing endeavors; especially his parents, grandparents, sisters and all of his wonderful sponsors who make all of it happen. |
